Connecting with BigRock
You need the record Puko showed you in Settings — a name and a target. Keep that tab open; you will paste both.
Where to go
List of Orders → your domain → DNS Management. Open BigRock
Steps
- Sign in and open List of Orders, then your domain.
- Open DNS Management, then Manage DNS.
- Choose the CNAME Records tab and press Add CNAME Record.
- Put the record name in Host Name, and the target in Value.
- Press Add Record.
Watch out on BigRock. If your nameservers still point at a web host rather than BigRock, the records have to be added there instead. The guide below explains how to tell.
The host field
Enter only the part before your domain. Most panels add the domain for you, so pasting the full name creates a record like _abc.example.com.example.com — which never resolves and looks exactly like a record that has not propagated.
Then
Go back to Puko and press Check. If it is not found yet, wait a few minutes and press it again — the record has to spread before we can see it. Do not edit it in the meantime; that restarts the clock.
Once it verifies, everything else is automatic. You do not need to come back to BigRock.
If it will not verify
Use Domain Connect Helpin your site’s Settings. It sends us what your domain is actually doing right now, so nobody has to guess.
