HOLM

A charming wooden cabin nestled among pine trees in a serene forest environment.

Lightweight, durable and ready for anywhere.

Sustainable by design.Built for tomorrow.Kind to the ground it stands on.

A HOLM is cut, assembled and finished in our factory in Puducherry, then driven to the site and set on screw piles in a week. No concrete, no waste skips, and a house that can be moved again if the land ever needs to be.

How a HOLM is made

  1. 01

    Design and sustainability

Every HOLM is drawn around the sun. Deep eaves shade the summer, a low winter sun reaches the back wall, and the timber frame stores more carbon than the build releases.

  2. 02

    Passive energy

Cross-ventilation, a cool roof and walls insulated to a European standard mean the house runs on a ceiling fan for most of the year. The solar array covers the rest.

A traditional pagoda with modern solar panels under a clear blue sky.
  3. 03

    Bio-sourced construction

The frame is certified plantation timber, the insulation is wood fibre, and the cladding is charred pine that needs no paint. Nothing in the wall is foam.

Four views

A house should take a week to arrive and a lifetime to leave.

We build about forty a year. If you have a site, we will come and stand on it with you before either of us decides anything.
