Getting started

Changing what your page says

Two ways to edit: type directly on the page, or ask for the change in plain words.

There are two ways, and they are good at different things. Typing directly is faster for a word or a number. Asking is better for anything that changes the shape of the page.

Typing on the page

Click any heading or paragraph in the preview and type over it. Press Enter to keep it, Escape to abandon it. Photos work the same way: click one to replace it with an upload, a link, or another image already on the site.

Asking for a change

Use the box under the preview and write what you want in ordinary words. “Add a pricing section”, “make the tone warmer”, “put the phone number in the header”, “the opening hours are wrong, we close at six”.

Only what you ask about changes. Sections you have not mentioned are left exactly as they are, so a small request never quietly rewrites the rest of the page.

Changing how a section looks

Select a section and use the layout button in its toolbar. Each press moves it to the next arrangement that section offers and eventually back to where it started, so nothing needs undoing to explore. The words do not change, only their arrangement.

Undoing

Undo reverses a whole request rather than a keystroke, so one press takes back an entire edit. Nothing you do here is visible to anyone until you publish.
